Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue Challenge - By the Cute and Girly

A new month, a new challenge over at the By the Cute and Girly blog. The theme for this month is
Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue
and is hosted by Debbie.

It doesn't have to be a wedding-theme. You can use something that is new to you, like a new stamp or a design-paper.  Or you can make a creation using an old vintage look or borrow a technique that you have seen but never tried or why not use the colour blue. There are many options in this theme so go ahead and create, there are some great prices to win. :) As always you can make whatever you like as long as it fits the theme. And don't forget to check out my team mates beautiful creations.

For this theme I tried to make some boxes. I borrowed the template to the first gift-box from Maya. She made a beautiful gift-box that I wanted to try for a while. I also used some new things from my stash. I also used a beautiful digi stamp that the design team members got from Meljens Design. They are sponsoring the design team this month. Thanks! :) I also used the colour blue.

Papers: Bazzill canvas cardstock "white", Heidi Grace Designs "Medium Flower Clusters" from the Day Dream Believer collection
Stamps: Love Birds from Meljens Design, the text stamp is designed by Dulcie Jackson
Details: flowers from Skapa Hobby, rhinestones from Kaisercraft. The flowers are decorated with some Stickles Glitter Glue. I colours the Love Birds with VersaColor #136 (baby blue), #19 (cyan), #42 (lime), Marvy Brush Marker #2 (red), #30 (rosewood), Dew Drop #BD-63 (pearl. poppy) and Tim Holtz Distress Ink (vintage photo)

I also borrowed an idea from Kirsten. She made a beautiful box with 4 drawers. Now my cardboard was a little bit smaller than the once that Kirsten used so I had to improvise a little bit but in the end the box turned out fine. I mounted a card on top of the box. I used some new things from my stash here as well and I was going for an old theme. I also used the colour blue.
Papers: cardboard from Landstoken, Prism cardstock, Bazzill cardstock "Kraft", Maja Design "Blomstra" (both front and back) from their CreaDiem collection, notepaper from Landstoken
Stamps: the text stamp is from Panduro Hobby/Tilda Paper Craft, the cute couple are from Landstoken, butterflies from "Nature" and "Flourishes" from Inkadinkado
Details: roses from Landstoken, flowers from You Do "frappochino", butterfly rub on from Panduro Hobby, butterfly and ribbon from Skapa Hobby, hitch fasteners from Tim Holtz, brads from Inkido and pearls from Reprint. I distressed with Tim Holtz Distress Ink "vintage photo". The flowers and the angels wings are decorated with Stickles Glitter Glue. The cute couple are coloured with Derwent Watercolour Pencils #4 (primrose yellow), #6 (deep cadmium), #16 (flesh pink), #18 (rose pink), #32 (spectrum blue), #34 (sky blue), #35 (prussian blue), #59 (golden brown), #61 (copper beech) #67 (ivory black), #72 (Chinese white)

That's it for now. Thank you for all the comments, I really appreciate it. They warms my heart. :) Take care.
